The collaboration is expected to streamline mobile development for customers to bring:
- A fully native iOS app that will add key features such as Shortcuts and integration with Apple's Business Chat.
- A Salesforce Mobile SDK optimized for Swift. Which will allow to build and deploy apps on Salesforce's Lightning platform.
- Salesforce's education platform, Trailhead, as a mobile app. Which will include Swift education courses to help drive adoption of the mobile SDK.
Take a look at the screenshots provided by Apple's Newsroom:
“We’re forming a strategic partnership with Salesforce to change the way people work and to empower developers of all abilities to build world-class mobile apps.”
This is only one more of the many partnerships Apple has made in recent years after becoming more focused on companies and their use of mobile devices. Other well known enterprise brands include:
- Along with systems integrators Accenture and Deloitte.
This collaboration gives Salesforce another growth opportunity. Just las Bret Taylor, president and chief product officer at Salesforce, adds:
Every single one of our customers is on mobile. They all want world-class mobile experiences, and this enables us when we’re talking to a customer about their mobile strategy, that we can be in that conversation together
The partnership will be revealed at Salesforce's conference, Dreamforce, this week.
